Current Cases in Van Zandt County in 06/17/20 Edition

Van Zandt County, Texas (June 15, 2021) – The Northeast Texas Public Health District has received confirmation of nine positive cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Van Zandt County between June 8-June 14, 2021, bringing the total to two thousand seven hundred thirty five (2735). All confirmed cases are currently at home in isolation. Two cases are located in the County with Grand Saline addresses, two cases are located within the city limits of Canton, three cases are located in the County with Canton addresses, one case is located in the County with a Van address and one case is located in the County with a Wills Point address. There are currently 2634 recovered cases, 44 active cases and 57 deaths in Van Zandt County reported by the Northeast Texas Public Health District.
The Northeast Texas Public Health District is now required by the Department of State Health Services to report probable cases. Persons with positive antigen test are considered probable cases. Probable cases are not counted in our active cases above. There were ten new probable cases reported by the Northeast Texas Public Health District between June 8-June 14, 2021, bringing the total at 1701. 48 are active, 1638 are recovered, and 15 deaths.

There will be a NET Health mobile clinic on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the Wills Point Juneteenth Celebration. The clinic will be at 303 E. Broadmore, Wills Point from 1p-3p. We will only be offering Johnson & Johnson vaccine at this clinic.
