GRAND SALINE—The Grand Saline Lady Indians beat Prairiland Tuesday night by a score of 1-0 in 8 innings in front of a packed house at home. Kinlee Rumfield was spectacular in the circle for Grand Saline pitching a complete game shutout. Rumfield went 8 innings giving up only one hit (bunt single) and striking out 15 in the contest. Hits were hard to come by for both teams in this pitching duel but in the bottom of the 8th inning with runners on 1st and 2nd base, senior Addi Fisher hit a triple to the wall in RCF to win it in walk off fashion. Others contributing offensively were Maddy Bolin with one hit, Kinlee Rumfield with one hit, and Kara Wilson with one run scored. Grand Saline is now 12-4 overall and 2-1 in district play. Next up is Paris Chisum away on Friday.
