Lady Indians Walk Away with Three Big Victories at TASO Tournament Saturday February 27th

The Lady Indians played 3 games on the last day of the TASO tournament and came away with 3 big victories.

The first game was played against a very good Ft. Worth Saginaw squad and the Lady Indians won by a score of 4-1. Pitching for Grand Saline was senior Kinlee Rumfield who pitched a great game giving up 5 hits, and 4 strikeouts in the contest. Offensively the tribe was led by senior hitter Andie Houser who had 2 hits and an rbi, Bekah Harrington who hit her 2nd homerun of the season and racked up 3 rbi’s, Maddy Bolin 1 hit, Addi Fisher 1 hit, and Hailey Darby with one hit.
In the second game Grand Saline played a tough Winnsboro team and held on to a 4-2 victory. Senior Kinlee Rumfield was once again in the circle and gave up only 4 hits and had 3 strikeouts. Contributing offensively was Addi Fisher who had 2 hits, 2 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases. Also, Hailey Darby had 2 hits, (one being a triple) 2 rbi’s.
In the last game of the tournament the Lady Indians splayed Gladewater and came away with a 6-0 win. Pitching for Grand Saline was freshman Hannah Aaron who pitched a gem by not giving up a hit in the contest and had 5 strikeouts. Getting the offense going for Grand Saline was Bekah Harrington who had 1 hit, 2 rbi’s, and 1 stolen base. Maddy Bolin had 1 hit and 2 rbi’s. Kinlee Rumfield had a hit and a run scored.
Next up for Grand Saline is a matchup with Van on Tuesday March 2nd and the Marshall tournament on March 4-6.
