Lady Indians Won Season Opener 12-2

The Grand Saline Lady Indians won their long awaited season opener over Mineola 12-2 Tuesday night. Senior Kinlee Rumfield was in the circle and had a great outing going 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and striking out 7. Defensively Grand Saline was solid having only one error in the contest.
Offensively the Lady Indians were led by junior standout Maddy Bolin who had 2 hits, 2 rbi’s, and 3 runs scored. Also contributing for the tribe was:

Addi Fisher – Double, 2 rbi’s

Bekah Harrington – Double, 2 runs scored, 1 stolen base

Alyssa Lovette – 1 hit, 1 rbi, 1 run scored, 1 stolen Base
Next up for Grand Saline is the TASO tournament scheduled for this Thursday and Saturday February 25th and 27th.
