Grand Saline Resident Abby Savallo Fights for Her Life with COVID-19 and Pneumonia

October 10, 2020

GRAND SALINE--Abby Savallo, a 29 year old Grand Saline resident, is fighting for her life in critical care in ICU. Savallo has double pneumonia and COVID-19. Savallo is the daughter of Terrie Sanders and the late Raymond Savallo.
On October 3, Savallo went to the ER for her severe symptoms. She was quickly taken to ICU, and eventually put on a vent.
On October 6, Sister-in-law Amber Savallo put out a Facebook post asking for people to join with her in lighting some candles in Abby Savallo’s honor. “Please spread the word TONIGHT AT 9:30 p.m. CST, if you will, please light a candle in Abby’s honor and pray for the Lord to intervene and TAKE OVER HER LUNGS and allow her to breathe on her own!” She also asked, “If you will, please spread the word and take pics and put them in the comments here. I’m going to make a collage video for her to see when she wakes from this!”. At the time the candles were to be lit, there were people from all over posting their prayers and pictures. From the areas of Nashville, Tennessee, Beach Grove, Arkansas, Des Moines, Iowa, Old Monroe, Missouri, Monroe, New Jersey to all around Texas including our very own City Hall and the Grand Saline Library. All in support of Abby Savallo.
There are no updates of any changes as of yet. The family is just asking for continuous prayers. Sister-in-law Amber Savallo said she would update later today with her progress.
A keychain sold by The Salty Bronc is one of the fundraisers to raise some money for Abby. More fundraisers are in the works and to be announced soon. The link to the keychains is https://shopthesaltybronc.com/collections/newest-items/products/staystrongabby-keychain
