Donald Eugene "Peanuts" Ieppert, Sr. (1932-2020)

Graveside military honors will be held for Mr. Donald Eugene "Peanuts" Ieppert, Sr., of Fruitvale, 11:15 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2020, at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.
Mr. Ieppert passed away August 14, 2020, in Grand Saline. He was born February 7, 1932, in East St. Louis, IL, to Frederick B. & Lorene Jacob Ieppert. He served in the US Marines during the Korean War. After his military service, he worked in metal fabrication. Mr. Ieppert moved to the Fruitvale area over 25 years ago. He was a good man, husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jackie Lynn Ieppert; wife, Mary McFarland Ieppert; and his brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include his four sons, Donald Ieppert Jr. and wife Kay of Fruitvale, Glenn Ieppert and wife Jana of Terrell, Dean Ieppert of Kilgore and Steven Ieppert of Fruitvale; daughter, Vinita Lowery and partner Margaret Anglin of Burleson; sister, Gloria Kershaw and husband Jim of Benbrook; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Mr. Ieppert's sons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
