Margaret Aldridge (1936-2020)

Services for Margaret Aldridge, 84, of Mineola, were scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Sand Flat Baptist Church, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Interment was held in Sand Flat Cemetery.

Margaret Elsie Aldridge was born April 14, 1936 in Rutherford, NC, to John and Rose Mary Roselle Saine. She went to be with her lord and savior on July 1, 2020. She gave of herself in service to others throughout her life in various roles at Sand Flat Baptist Church and Country Trails Nursing Center, where she was Assistant Activity Director. Margaret also participated in numerous clubs and associations that benefited the community. During her years living in California, she loved helping customers at Take A Gander, the local gift shop where she worked. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Ernie Constantino of Watertown, NY.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Bobby Kenneth “Ken” Aldridge of Mineola; daughter, Robin Brand (Roy) of Mineola; son, Barry Aldridge (Kathleen) of Dallas; three grandchildren, Jessica McGinnis of Mineola, Cassie Watlington (Robert) of Mineola, and K.C. Hart (Kim) of Quitman; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Sand Flat Baptist Church or Hospice of East Texas.

The family received friends 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Sand Flat Baptist Church.
