Benefit Scheduled to Help Grand Saline Boy With Rare Brain Cancer

June 18, 2020

GRAND SALINE--A little three year old boy has stolen the hearts of many Grand Saline residents and nearby communities. Grand Saline resident Trever Bolin, twin to Tanner Bolin, and the son of Austin Bolin and Brittany Bolin, had a brain tumor found on May 28 of this year. Trever had surgery to remove the tumor and the scan later revealed a microscopic size tumor still remained. A series of treatments will have to be done in the future to completely remove tumor and to make sure there is no regrowth.
The Bolin family is going to need a lot of help financially with all the trips, treatments etc. Skeeter Fowler, a friend of the family, has reached out to several people and has arranged a Benefit Fishing Tourney on lake fork at the Lake Fork Marina on July 11. There will be a $150 entry fee per team. Fishing will be from 6 a.m.-1 p.m. and you will need to be in weigh in line by 2 p.m. There is a 3 fish limit. Paying 3 places

1-$2000

2-$1000

3-$500
All money received will go to the Bolin family benefiting Trever Bolin. Fowler asks that everyone be there to support this cause and if you cannot make it and just want to donate money to send him a message on his Facebook page and he will tell you where to donate. Also on Fowler’s Facebook page was post announcing more things for the benefit, “Auction items coming up for bid in the next few days for the benefit coming up. Lots of lake fork guides donated trips and also Sam Rayburn hammers donating trips as well along with a legend of fishing donating. We will auction these off and lots of hunting trips being donated. We have some good ones you won’t want to miss. We also have a few MLF guys and Bass guys donating trips too. So stay tuned.”
The city of Grand Saline and surrounding areas are being asked to meet next Tuesday 7 p.m. June 23rd at the Todd Randall Miller Event Center in Grand Saline to discuss further details with raising money and to see how you can help. All are welcome!
