Nancy Ruth Thatcher (1976-2018)

Services for Nancy Ruth Thatcher, 81, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 12 pm, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Bartley Funeral Home.

Interment followed in Sand Flat Cemetery.

Mrs. Thatcher passed away October 9, 2018 in Grand Saline. She was born November 4, 1936 in Kerens to George and Mildred Wasson Voss. Nancy spent her early years in Dallas before moving to Grand Saline in 1976. She was the Grand Saline City Secretary for many years and a member of the Tundra Baptist Church in Canton. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Sam Beasley and Tommy Thatcher; and two sisters, Dorothy Perry and Bobbie Bonner.

Survivors include her three sons, Herbert Beasley of Odessa, James Beasley and wife Marlene of Pensacola, Florida, and Charles Beasley and wife Debbie of Canton; six grandchildren, Sam Beasley, Jason Beasley, Rachel Beasley, Piper Beasley, Jake Franklin, and Grant Franklin; two great-grandchildren, Tristin Franklin and Creed Franklin; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers was Jake Franklin, Grant Franklin, Chase Meyers, Eddie Perry, Jerry Ware, and Benjamin Hogue.

The family received friends, 11 am at the funeral home.
