Norma Merrill Johnson (1939-2018)

Services for Norma Merrill Johnson, 79, of Fruitvale, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, April 19, 2018 at LifeHouse Fellowship Church with Bro. Mike Stone officiating.

Interment followed in Creagleville Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson passed away April 12, 2018 at her home in Fruitvale. She was born January 2, 1939, in Dallas to Everett Lane & Margaret Elizabeth Patrick Merrill. Norma spent her early years in Dallas and the last 48 years in Fruitvale. She worked as an insurance salesman and was a member of LifeHouse Fellowship Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Joseph Johnson, Billie Johnson and Jessie Cox; son, Clifton Johnson; two sisters, Rosemary Hock and Lanette Allison; and two brothers, Pat Merrill and Bob Merrill.

Survivors include her two sons, Billie Johnson of Fruitvale and Chris Johnson and wife Christy of Fruitvale; daughter, Molly Rogers of Reno, Nevada; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Johnson III, Joseph Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Derrick Johnson, Kurt Johnson and Matt Davis.

Honorary Pallbearers were Jody Johnson and Justin Johnson.

The family received friends 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
