Glenda Bolin (1947-2017)

Services for Glenda Rodgers Bolin, 70, of Grand Saline, were scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Mitch Curtis officiating.


Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery.
Mrs. Bolin passed away November 16, 2017, in Tyler. She was born January 22, 1947, in Palestine to Henry Franklin & Jackie Mozelle Brown Rodgers. Glenda spent the last 52 years in Grand Saline where she was a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church and Young at Heart Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the "Apple Dumplin Gang" and had worked for over 30 years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, DeNita Jean Harley; brother, Henry "Pat" Franklin Rodgers,Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Morris & Ludie Bolin; and beloved Todd Miller.


Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jerry "Red" Bolin of Grand Saline; sons, Dwayne "Bub" Bolin and wife Tammy of Grand Saline, Gerald "Scooter" Bolin and wife Mandy of Grand Saline; daughter, Renee’ Barnes and husband Mike of Wylie; brothers, Charles Edward Rodgers and wife Susan of Palestine, Gerald Lee Rodgers and wife Sandy of Palestine and Danny Boy Rodgers of Palestine; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be B.J. Bolin, Dwayne "Bub" Bolin, Gerald "Scooter" Bolin, Austin "Tator" Bolin, Aaron Bolin, Bryar Barnes, Ethan Jones, Charlie Bolin, Travis Jones and Mike Barnes.
Honorary pallbearers are great-grandsons, Lil Preston Moore, Brian Dale Milliorn, Tony Miller and Jerry Don Rodgers.


The family received friends 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
