Essie Duckworth (1946-2017)

Graveside services for Essie Duckworth (Butler), 70, of Grand Saline, were scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Sand Flat Cemetery with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Duckworth (Butler) passed away February 17 in a Tyler hospice facility. She was born June 5, 1946, in Garland to Willie & Beatrice Lewis Luellen. She spent her early years in Garland before moving to Grand Saline 42 years ago. She was a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Duckworth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Duckworth; and a sister.

Survivors include sons, Tony Duckworth and wife Kristen of Willis and Allan Duckworth and wife Susan of Grand Saline; brother, Alvis Luellen of Tyler; grandchildren, Casie Zarate and husband Manuel, Will Duckworth, Drew Duckworth, Felecia McDaniel, Morgan McDaniel, and Logan McDaniel; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Adalyn and Caelyn; and Bobby Butler of Grand Saline.

The family received friends 4-6 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
